The Lakes of Mount Kelimutu, Indonesia are considered to be the resting place for departed souls, the lakes are locally referred to as “the lake of evil spirits”.

Lake Kelimutu or also known as the three colored lake is three crater lakes of mount Kelimutu located in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia .

All 3 lakes change colour from blue to green to black or red unpredictably…

Kelimutu Lake along with the mount Kelimutu are part of the Kelimutu National Park.

The tourists usually visit Lake Kelimutu in the morning, because you can enjoy the beautiful view of the sunrise. If you want to enjoy the sunrise, you can depart at 04:30 from the hotel around Kelimutu National Park. The bus is usually prepared by the inn to drive you to the point of hiking.
